Sri Lanka is dealing with an injury alert in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023. Dilshan Madushanka will perform for Sri Lanka instead of Dushmantha Chameera in the World Cup match.
The technical committee of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 has granted Sri Lanka permission to replace such injured players in their team. The replaced player, Dilshan Madushanka, required approval from the Event Technical Committee to get added to the team.
According to the latest cricket news, Dilshan Madushanka will be in action against Zimbabwe on July 2. While most cricket addicts might judge him by his performance, he must learn to take his team’s responsibility in the upcoming cricket competition seriously.
On the other hand, Dushmantha Chameera is a Sri Lankan cricketer who made his international debut in 2015. He is a right-arm fast bowler known for his pace and ability to generate bounce. Chameera has represented Sri Lanka in all three formats of the game: test matches, one-day internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). It would be a different experience for people to watch the next cricket competition in Sri Lanka, which made minor changes to their team. Hopefully, the replacement of Chameera will not affect the team’s performance.
The Even Committee contains ICC Head Chris Tetley, ICC Representative Sarah Edgar, Director of the Tournament Hamilton Masakadza, Dirk Viljoen, Host Nominee, Pommie Mbangwa (Independent), Natalie Germanos (Independent), and Gurjit Singh, Managing Committee Concerns.
