The Indian team for the five-match Twenty20 International Series against Australia did not include Yuzvendra Chahal.
Yuzvendra Chahal was left out of India’s squad for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, and he was also left off of the team’s five-match Twenty20 International series against Australia. The Board of Control for Cricket in India. (BCCI) selected a youthful team led by Suryakumar Yadav for the series because the most of the experienced players were rested. The bilateral series, supporters anticipated that players like Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Sanju Samson would rejoin the team. However, none of the three found a spot on the lineup.
Chahal posted an enigmatic message on social media shortly after the lineup was revealed, using only one smiley face. Even though Chahal’s career has been on an extreme roller coaster in recent years. He isn’t allowing it disturb his mental peace. Chahal claimed in a recent interview, that he was accustomed to such circumstances after being passed up for an ODI World Cup spot.
“I am aware that only fifteen players can participate, as this is a World Cup and you cannot take 17 or 18 players,” Chahal had stated to Wisden India.
“Moving on is my mantra in life, even when I do feel a little horrible, It’s been three World Cups. So I’m used to it now (laughs). “That’s the reason I came to play here at Kent—I want to play cricket somewhere,” he had continued.
Regarding the Indian squad, the Indian Premier League talents Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Shivam Dube. Others were selected by the BCCI for the five-match assignment.
Australia will play India in a five-match Twenty20 International series.
