During a conversation on ABP news, Atul Wassan, former India fast bowler, expressed his belief that Shubman Gill’s growth as a cricketer will surpass the iconic trio of Kohli, Rohit, and Dhoni.
“I believe that Gill’s exceptional batting prowess will overshadow this legendary trio. The way he has been performing against the likes of Kohli and Rohit is remarkable,” Wassan commented on ABP news while discussing Gill’s recent success.
Wassan also mentioned that MS Dhoni could be the next to face Gill’s dominance as the Gujarat Titans prepare to face the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 final.
“I think Mahi might be the next in line. The Gujarat Titans team has been impressive as well. Mumbai had a chance with Suryakumar Yadav, but Gujarat possesses strong bowling depth. Despite being a new team, they have made a significant impact. We have witnessed such excellence from CSK before. Regarding Gill, he is a grounded player. In the IPL, it’s easy for players to lose focus amidst the money and fame, but Gill has shown composure,” he stated.
