With Boult’s departure from contractual obligations, NZC has granted him the opportunity to represent the national team through a casual playing arrangement, indicating his potential return in time for the World Cup preparations. On another note, Adam Milne, a fellow fast bowler, is poised to accept his first central contract in five years after an outstanding performance in international matches. Milne has taken 24 wickets in the past 12 months, including a remarkable five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in a T20I held in Dunedin in April. He has also played 11 T20Is and five ODIs, showcasing his consistent presence in the team.
