The Gaurs will be looking to grab the 3rd spot when they will be up against Odisha FC on Wednesday evening. FC Goa needs to register a win against Odisha FC with a minimum goal difference of 3 if they want the 3rd spot. A win would definitely mean the top four. On the other hand, there is nothing much left for the Odisha FC in the league. A win against the mighty Gaurs is a very tough stuff to achieve.
Ishan Pandita’s dying minutes goal saved FC Goa in their previous encounter against Chennaiyn FC. In spite of his 4 goals in just 50 minutes of game time in the whole league, he is yet to be offered a place in the starting line-up from Juan. The team suffered a major set-back when their attacking midfielder, Brandon was ruled out until the play-offs because of quadricep injury. The Gaurs need to work on their defense line as the strikers can’t save them always after early hits. For Odisha FC, the season is nothing less than a nightmare. Nothing has worked for them as they registered a mere single win in their 17 matches yet. The management needs to work really hard on remaking of the unit for the next season.
The Gaur will be on the pitch with an attacking approach and the strikers need to strike the back of the net multiple times. The defense along with Dheeraj should focus on a clean-sheet. Odisha has nothing to lose, the only thing is that they can gain.
