India has been drawn with Korea Republic, Australia and Uzbekistan in Group C for the U17 FIFA world cup qualifiers tournament ( AFC U16 Championship).
The draws were held today at 12 noon and India eventually got a tough group. According to me, the group is toughest among all as all the teams in this group are tough for each other. India topped their group in the qualifiers for the tournament beating Bahrain and Turkmenistan and playing a 1-1 draw with the hosts Uzbekistan.
Australia is one of the toughest team in Asia and the same implies for Korea Republic. Uzbekistan on the other hand is also not an easy team to beat. It will be a clash of strong sides and their performances will define their fate.
With strikers like Sridarth, Shubho and Jangra the team looks great and their recent performances clarifies any doubt, it it resides. The defence of our team also looks great as they allowed a mere single goal in their last three matches.
Talking about the criteria for booking a ticket to Peru, the team need to advance itself to semis of the tournament. There are 4 spots for Asian countries and the all four teams in the semis will get qualified.
Let’s hope for the best as the tournament kicks-off in September.
