The Board of Cricket Control in India ( BCCI ) through a press meet, announced that the Indian cricket team will not travel to Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe as per earlier scheduled.
The team was earlier scheduled to travel Sri Lanka for 3 ODIs and 3 T20s starting from June 24th. The Zimbabwe tour was scheduled to begin from 22nd August but both the series have been postponed for further.
The decision has been taken in precaution against the pandemic and it’s not cleared by the BCCI whether the series is cancelled or postponed to further schedule. As earlier, some of the players of West Indies team alsoshowed their disagreement to travel to England for Test Series.
The board has also talked about resuming the trainings of contracted players who are out of action from more than 3 months. BCCI has also cleared that they are keen to start domestic as well as international cricket action but it won’t be done at the cost of any risks.
