Indian Football Team can go to Croatia, Slovenia or Turkey. As the new schedules are released by AFC for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, the Blue Tigers need to be ready for their upcoming challenges. India will be facing Asian champions, Qatar on 8th October at home. India will also play against Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Igor Stimac, head coach of Indian Football Team is setting up his schedules for the same. The former Croatian defender and coach wants his team to be in full force before starting up of things. Igor has demanded at least a training period of 8 weeks before the match against Qatar. The demand is justifiable as the players are off-touch from around 4 months now.
The current situation of Corona in India could prove fatal to his demands and plans. But, the coach himself has came up with an idea. He want his team to unite in Europe rather than India. The Europe Tour was scheduled earlier for May and June but the pandemic ruined it down. But, the coach is looking serious with his idea and it’s implementation from August first week.
According to sources and intellects, the team can travel to Croatia, Slovenia or Turkey for camping. The coach is also looking for arrangement of friendlies before the qualifiers. The matches could be played against Croatian clubs and reserve sides of national teams.
