The upcoming Duleep Trophy presents an opportunity for several players to make their mark in the tournament. Scheduled to commence on June 28, India’s domestic season will kick off with this prestigious event featuring six zonal teams: North, South, West, East, Central, and North East. Bangalore will host the entire tournament.
The format of the competition comprises only five matches, with the previous season’s finalists already securing direct entry into the semi-finals. The remaining four teams will engage in two quarterfinal matches, and the winners will then face the West and South Zones in the semi-finals. The victors from the semis will secure a spot in the tournament’s ultimate showdown.
As the tournament draws near, Hanuma Vihari has been appointed as the captain of the South Zone team. Additionally, Mayank Agarwal will serve as the vice-captain. The team consists of notable players like Sai Sudharsan, KS Bharat, Washington Sundar, and many others.
