Recently, The match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday. The two teams have faced each other for a total of 21 times in the IPL so far, and CSK holds a 15-6 head-to-head win/loss record over DC. Even in the last season, Chennai had beaten Delhi three times, inclusive of a six-wicket win in Qualifier 2. Other victories of CSK over Delhi included an 80-run out and another simple six-wicket triumph.
Currently, Delhi Capitals is the only active IPL team that has never made the final of the tournament, however this time they are converting every possible match to a big win ending up as the top scorer currently on the table. The team has managed to reach the playoffs four times but unfortunately never came up as a winner of the tournament.
On the other side, CSK has won the competition thrice, and therefore, the fans are expecting more from the team. Chennai’s Shane Watson with an average of 37 runs and a total of 481 runs as well as Ambati Rayudu with 477 runs at 34.07 have constantly enjoyed playing against Delhi, while Ravindra Jadeja has managed to score 300 runs and 15 wickets in 20 innings.
Delhi’s opening batsmen Shikhar Dhawan has scored 641 runs with an average of 35.61 and a strike rate of 122.56 against CSK.
