Team India is still chasing the elusive series victory after having played eight Test series in South Africa. Their finest performance occurred in a three-match encounter that finished in a draw during the 2010–11 tour.

When the Indian cricket team arrived in South Africa for the forthcoming multi-format tour, they were greeted with great warmth. The first T20I match is scheduled for Sunday, December 10 at the Kingsmead in Durban.
