A win will be a mandation for both of the teams today, when Bengaluru FC will face FC Goa on Sunday. The Blues were pushed down to the 7th spot after Jamshedpur FC brushed-off the Islanders yesterday. It’s now 5 teams fighting for the empty two of the four spots.
The Gaurs would want to register a win but it’s never an easy task against the mighty Blues. With two strikes from Cleiton and Chhetri, the Blues were looking much strong from Mumbai City FC. The Gaurs also played a thriller draw against the MCFC. With both teams registering a win in their previous fixtures, there will be a tough fight. With Kuruniyan in and Dimas also in the practice session, the Blues are gaining the solidity at the end of the season. Aashique could start today and Dimas could also be seen on the pitch. FC Goa’s defense needs to beware of Chhetri and Silva as they can start the party anytime. With Udanta gradually regaining his touch, along with Suresh he will be a serious threat too for the full-backs.
Ishan Pandita should get a start in this match as Juan also needs to deal for the ACL campaign. Brandon would be back if the Gaurs qualify for the play-offs. Ortiz and Angulo would be dealing up with the frontline attacks while Noguera and Romario will play their roles as playmakers. With Juanan absent for the Blues, there are scopes of exploiting the inexperienced defense for the Gaurs. Dealing in the midfield would be a tough task for sure in the presence of Suresh, Dimas and Partalu.
