During the calendar year 1998, Sachin Tendulkar scored 1,894 runs in 34 matches at an average of 65.31 and a strike rate of 102.15. He scored nine centuries and seven half-centuries in that year. The next on the list is Sourav Ganguly, who scored 1,767 runs in 41 matches in 1999.
